Most Memorable Moment

Section 2 had some interesting moments but not a lot that made my “moment”. There was however, one particular moment which I was able to visualize as clear as crystal. This moment was when Albert had invited a bunch of friends to lunch and the Baron of Château-Renaud tells Albert how Maximilien had saved the Baron’s life at the nick of time. The story goes like this: The Baron was in Africa and wanted to try his new pistols on Arabs so went from Oran to Constantinople. The Baron went through 2 days and on the third his horse dies of the harsh cold. The Baron had also noticed that 6 Arabs were riding horses and wielded swords they meant to use against him. The baron precisely shot down 2 men with his rifle and 2 more with his pistol and so, he now faces death by the hands of Arabs. One of them grabbed the Baron by the hair and the other almost slit his throat when Maximilien charged at them and killed each of them. When the Baron had mentioned how he could feel the cold steel on his neck, I actually felt that. But I could easily imagine the scenario where the Baron shot down the Arabs on their way and the fear when none of his guns were loaded. This made me as the reader feel differently in a matter of sentences.
