1. I think the count takes pity on her because they had a strong, loving relationship and without feeling sorrowful for Dantes she marries another man forgetting abut all that they have been through. Also Dantes complains that he has waited so long in prison thinkimg about her and she turns her back on him by marrying his enemy.

2. What Dantes means by this is to let things be and not to interfere with God's work and his plan. We see that Dantes turns to God in the prison because he has no where else to turn to. He belives that there is hope and he is in the right hands believing that he is doing what is right and just: getting revenge.This tells us that this is his belief because he  says "all human wisdom".
